We're very excited about relaunching the RARA Mobile Public Library.
With hundreds of books available, you'll be sure to find a title to enjoy.
Below you'll find answers to most common questions.

HOW DO I BORROW A BOOK?

Start with signing up for an annual membership
After submitting the form, your account will be activated within 24-48 hours.
You will receive an email with your login and password details.

To borrow a book, visit the library catalog.
Log in to your Libib account by clicking "Patron Login" on the left.
(On mobile, this option appears in the menu, which is collapsed by default and can be opened by tapping the three lines at the top left)
Browse the Library catalog and find a book you are interested in.
Click on the title to view more info about a particular book.
Click "checkout" on the book(s) you are interested in.
At the bottom of the page, tap "Complete" and then "Submit", and your done!
Your order has now been sent to us.

Our team will pack up your books for you, and ship them out to you the next business day.

Books typically arrive 3-5 business days after an order is placed.

HOW DO I RETURN A BOOK?

Your book will arrive in a bubble mailer in the mail.
There will also be a return satchel inside with a pre-paid label.
You'll use this to send the book back to us when you're done with it.
IMPORTANT: Please retain the bubble mailer that the book arrives in.
You'll use it again to send the book back to us, by placing it inside the return satchel.
This will protect the book on its trip in the mail back to us.

To return a book, place the book back inside the bubble mailer, and put the bubble mailer inside the return satchel.
Then, simply seal the satchel and drop it in your nearest Australia Post street red posting box, or take it to any Australia Post counter and lodge it there.
Postage is paid for by the RJMPL library both ways - it won't cost you anything!

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Library memberships are $36 a year.
A subsidized price of $18 a year is also available.
Sign up for a membership here.
Once you've signed up and paid your subscription, you account will be activated and you are ready to begin borrowing.
There are no additional fees to borrow books.
Just please make sure you treat the books with respect, and return them on time.

HOW LONG CAN I BORROW A BOOK FOR?

You can borrow a book for up to 2 weeks from when you receive the book.
This does not include the time it takes to ship the book to or from you.
So the two weeks begin once the book arrives at your door, and end once you drop the book off to be mailed back to us.
Please return your books on time, so that the next person can give them a read!

HOW MANY BOOKS CAN I BORROW AT A TIME?

You can borrow 2 books at a time.
This ensures that everyone can get their hands on a title that suites them.
Want to borrow more books? Sure, just return the ones you've got, and you can take out new ones!

WHAT HAPPENS IF I DAMAGE OR LOSE A BOOK?

Please treat the books with a great deal of love!
We want them to be around for a very long time.
If you do damage a book, please send it back to us as soon as possible, so that we can assess any damage, and, if possible, repair the book.
If you lose a book, please get in touch with us as soon as possible.
You'll be charged a fee to replace the book, so we can get it back into our catalog.

In line with Australian Tax Law, donations to the Chabad of RARA organization as a whole are not tax deductible, but donations to our Library are fully tax deductible (in Australia).

To donate books to the library, please get in touch with us.
We accept books that are in excellent condition, and fully intact with their covers.
