Sholom Klein and Moshe Loebenstein outside their mobile synagogue.

MOSHE Loebenstein and Sholom Klein are travelling around regional Australia in their mo-bile synagogue wanting to spread the word of Chabad of RARA.

Visiting fellow Jews living in rural and regional Gladstone, Moshe and Sholom want to contact any followers or anyone with a genuine interest in their religion.

"We have been on the road all the way from Melbourne and will be here in Gladstone for three or four days. Our next stop is Rockhampton. This will be a special opportunity for us to connect with Jewish people who might have little under-standing of their background," Mr Loebenstein said.

The idea originated from Chabad Lubavitch which is a two hundred year old Chassidic movement originating from the Russian city of Lubavitch, since then the movement has become the largest Jewish Outreach organisation in the world devoted to improving the spiritual and material conditions of Jews wherever they are.

"It has been a real privilege to help others who might have a real desire to connect with Judaism," Mr Klein said.

The motto of the mobile synagogue is 'Do a Mitzvah today', which means do a good deed a day. "We want to help make the world a better Ace through acts of goodness and kind-, ness," Mr Klein said.

Included as well are books on Jewish literature, Bar Mitzvahs, tapes, software programs of Jewish books and other ne-cessary information about its religion. Anyone interested in contacting the mobile Synagogue can do so on mobile 0425 788 870 or email [email protected]
