What's known as a small mining town, is now also known as a Chanuka gathering point! We came together with Jewish families from Denman, Aberdeen and Scone to celebrate the sixth night of Chanuka. What a lovely time we had! But then trouble hit. It was too windy and despite our best efforts, the Menorah just would not stay lit. So we headed inside, and from the comfort of the John Hunter Hotel, we were able to kindle all six, and sing joyfully. A truly joyous occasion!
